Public transport or public transport are all means of transport where passengers are not traveling using their own vehicles . Public transportation in general, including trains and buses , but also including airline services , ferries , taxis , etc. .
Public transport is the main means of transportation on Earth .

Bus services use buses on conventional roads to carrying many passengers on shorter trips . Bus operating with low capacity ( ie compared with trams or trains ) , and can operate on conventional roads , with relatively inexpensive bus stops to serve passengers . Therefore buses are commonly used in smaller towns and cities , in rural areas are also equipped shuttle for services to the major cities .
Bus rapid transit is an ambiguous term used for buses operating on the railway . Electric buses are electric buses that employ a wire on it to get power for traction .

Passenger rail transport is the vehicle through the passenger wheel is designed specifically to run on the railway line . Trains allow high capacity on short or long distance , but require track , signaling , infrastructure and stations to be built and maintained . Urban rail transit consists of trams , light rail , rapid transit , commuter rail , monorail and cable car .
A rapid transit rail system ( or also called metro , subway or subway ) operates in an urban area with high capacity and frequency , and grade separation from other traffic .
This system can transport a large number of people quickly at short distances with little land use . Variations of rapid transit be among movers , small -scale light metro and the commuter rail hybrid . More than 160 cities have rapid transit systems

Informally called because its existence is not recognized by the government and there is no permission for operation . Passengers usually one but sometimes two . With prices determined by bargaining with the driver first then the driver will deliver passengers to their desired destination .
Rickshaw (becak) is a three-wheeled mode of transportation commonly found in Indonesia and also in parts of Asia . Normal capacity rickshaws were two passengers and a driver . Being a pedicab driver is one way to earn a living is easiest, so the number of rickshaw drivers in areas of high unemployment rate will be very high .

Cab is a type of vehicle for hire with a driver , used by a single passenger or small group of passengers . A taxi to deliver passengers to a location of their choice .
